+ What makes GL Travel’s itinerary different?
Teacher feedback is the foundation of what makes GL Travel trips different. When you are on tour, you can feel the difference. GL Travel is always listening and updating our itineraries to ensure that our students and teachers are experiencing the best that each city they visit has to offer. GL Travel has an excellent reputation with our partner vendors which plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for you and your students.
GL Travel’s planning cycle starts over a year in advance of your trip.
After your group trip, we have a post-trip meeting to discuss the trip and plan for next year. It’s effortless; you talk, we listen, you design a trip that inspires the hidden genius in your students.
+ What experience does GL have with school groups, and can you provide references?
GL Travel would be thrilled to provide references to partner teachers who love our trips.
GL Travel was started by a teacher in a classroom. Over the last 15 years of student travel experience, GL Travel has taken thousands of students to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the White House, Mount Vernon, the Empire State Building, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and so many other amazing places. With every trip, we learn new ways to make the next one even better. Our founder started GL Travel for teachers to inspire the hidden genius in their students.

+ Insurance, fees, and other costs:
GL Travel understands the importance of your financial security. GL Travel offers Travel Protection Plus (TPP) as an optional add-on. With TPP, parents can cancel their child’s tour at any time, for any reason, and receive all trip payments less the cost of the Travel Protection Plus.
Unless otherwise agreed upon, GL Travel covers all meals and entrance fees while traveling. We provide the Group Leader with tickets for all sites and funds for meals before travel. GL Travel prepays most restaurants, but for those who are not, we provide trip leaders with a financial breakdown of distributing the funds to either the students or to the restaurants, depending on the dining arrangements.
Your tour guide will take care of all incidentals along the way. If you happen to pay for incidental expenses along the way, save your receipts (or send GL your statements) for reimbursement.
